That's what upsets me. If it were a normal couple kissing inappropriately and the couple says something, it's non-news. But if it's a gay couple it's big news and now all the big organizations will get involved. That's b.s. Either way, everyone needs to be more respectful when in public places.
If the gays want to be equal, they need to stop playing the gay card. Sorry for venting.

You're just reading what you want to read. Check it out again-- the issue is that heterosexual couples at Safeco have not, historically, been asked to refrain from public displays of affection.

I totally understand what you are saying and I've seen the same thing down here in LA, but I was just stating the fact if it were a gal and her guy being told to stop, it wouldn't make the news. I'm against anyone getting too crazy in public no matter what. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the investigation finds. If they find that the gals were within reason, we'll maybe Safeco Park with do something for them.

Maybe the fans at the park weren't complaining about the heteros.
The deal is, if a hetero couple is sucking face at the park, and someone tells them to stop, it's decency.
If a GLBT couple is sucking face at the park, and someone tells them to stop, then it's discrimination.
please define inappropriate behavior... a couple holding hands and smooching, regardless of gender or sexual orientation is hardly inappropriate. If it was a lap dance or something in that regards I could certainly see an usher saying hey, cut it out.
I suspect some uptight prude who hasn't had a good poke in a few dozen years got jealous of the two young ladies and her only recourse was to summon an usher before she herself gave into her hidden desires of carpet munching the ball girl.
And one more time: Nope, after serious consideration, I wouldn't.

It absolutely would make news if a hetero couple were asked to stop, and homosexual couples nearby were not instructed to do the same.

In all my years, I've never run into a heterosexual couple being told not to kiss at a sports event or otherwise. These women were not playing a "gay card" - they just refused to be treated a doormat.

Having young children, I guess I'd prefer not seeing anyone kiss at the ballpark. Profanity (Arod's wife) should not be allowed either. A child's mind is much more fragile then an adults. We try to protect what they watch on tv, but we realize someday they will have to learn all the things society has to offer.
So if it's a bunch of adults in a room, then let it fly. But if small or young children are around, then I'd rather not have the adult behavior present.

If a minority group is treated differently than everyone else, it is not discrimination because they shouldn't ever leave their house. Or something like that
