Cool metal detecting find.........Colonial.

Found this while on a business trip to Vermont a few weeks back. The ground was pretty hard on it, but it is what it is............A cool piece of early American history.

I was at an old cellar hole that appeared to be from the 1700ds.
All things considered it looks to be in decent shape.

First of all, congratulations on your find. The thrill of recovering such an important relic of our early country is worth far more than the "market value" of such a piece.
With regard to the coin itself, you found an M.14-H, an R.4 variety. This is the of the Mailed Bust Left type and the date is 1787. Thanks for sharing...
