I believe the 1806 and 1807 DBHEs are struck worse, on average, than a typical 1805. However, I do not know that I care for the eye appeal of the current example.
I think that scratch on the shield is a killer. Coin is lucky to have made it into a slab. Second set of images makes the color look nicer though. One that would have to be in hand to determine if I would buy it. Do want to get one of that date someday.
If you are looking for both an 1805 and 1807 then you likely realize that the 1805 will be a tougher coin to find. However, most price guides do not reflect this additional level of scarcity in their assigned values.

Looks like it to me. Looks better in the Goldberg pic, but most coins do.
However, I do not generally care for any Liberty dollar
under AU-58, but I came very close to putting a bid on
that coin. I remember that coin as being more on the
grayish then brownish tone. But, being partially color blind,
what do I know.
