Sarasota condo purchased with 440 South African Krugerrands!

According to the Tampa Bay Online website TBO.com on Monday May 19th somebody bought a Sarasota home valued around $1M with downpayment which included a briefcase filled with $400,000 worth of South African Krugerrands to the closing -- that is about 444 of the gold coins.

Here is the link....

This got me to wondering....would anybody here dare take a portion (or all) of you coin collecton to a closing?

And $100 says that condo is down AT LEAST 12% in same time period.

...both phenomena making it still seem bad for the same reasons!

Remember the Arizona rancher who paid $40,000 in cash for a house in the 1960 movie "Psycho"?

    Same story.
