Do you have a return policy on this coin?

Why would I have a return policy on a certified coin?

and I am not a dealer so do not have requirements and policies on my hobby~image

Why wouldn't you offer a return policy on any coin, let alone a certified one? Especially with no pictures in the post, and scans can be emailed. For an $1800 coin it seems like a seller would be more accommodating.

Where do we send the check? After all, everyone here knows one can grade dead-on solely by scans or photos. Yup, even the tiniest of hairlines show up in poor photos. I've never seen a coin in person that didn't match the photo 100%. image

    graded coins sell themselves
especially desirable ones like nice type coins
I didnt post photos on here because i neither have the time nor the knowledge to do so and dont wish to read up on it presently
    and guys dont sweaT IT!
I have sold lots of coins on here with absolutely no issue from anyone.
you dont go to a show and buy a coin from a guy walking the floor and ask him if he has a return policy! that is funny.
I also understand even scans may not be as good as holding the slab but again,it will sell really don't concern yourselves with what you do not want!image

apparently you guys have issues of comprehension

    a) I am not a dealer of any kind
    b) I have sold coins to numerous people on here with no "mailing list"
I actually have a real job and it does not include COINS or policies!

    Marz,

Have you ever seen a coin in a graded holder that you didnt agree with the grade? I know that I have. And, given the fact that one cant grade by pictures accurately in most cases, it would seem that a return priv would be in order.

Dealers are not the only ones to offer return privs on coins. Generally, those that dont have returns are viewed, rightly or wrongly, as trying to peddle overgraded schlock...regardless of third party grading.

Just wanted to let you know. image

No offense Marz, but with your attitude and lack of pics I can't believe you've ever sold anything on the BST. Don't bring up "buying a coin from a guy walking the floor" as that's totally different since the buyer can see the coin in hand. Forget the return policy issue, you should just be a better businessman. Good luck image

John, I dig and hear you.....but its no different then buying a coin from someone on e-bay. 90% of people who sell certed coins have a no return policy. And again, I have sold a bunch of type coins on here this way many times without all this melarckie!

your thoughts on "schlock" would then include 90 of the certed coins on e-bay!

The dementia is the idea I am selling or creating a spam list given 4250 posts or so!
I have probably logged 200 hours plus on here just talking about coins and such. Spam sellers given what I am doing would probably make 2 cents per hour given the time I put into the message boards then.

On another note,go do some due diligence on research and you will see i have sold many coins on here as well as purchased some as well.

not trying to defend or advocate the return policy feature, but these are his terms
and there is a flip side to having one.
there are plenty of buyers who are impossible to please, for whatever reason.
unless of course they can make more money off of it.
who wants to get a coin back under those circumstances? people
who don't deal in coins have other things to do than run back and forth to the post office.

Marz is free to have whatever return policy he likes (or none whatsoever), just as I am free to have a policy to not purchase coins without a return privilege. He obviously will exclude a lot of potential buyers with his policy, but that's his business, not mine.

agreed but it has all the detail and tone to boot you can't see.

Dick Osborne wanted it but we did not cut a deal at a show where I showed it to him a month ago.

He also will tell you it's a solid 63 and would remember it!

You know what, I retract my previous statements. It's Marz's coin and he can do with it what he pleases. Would I sell it differently? Sure, but who cares, it's not my coin. Marz, you say you've done business on the BST before, so I'm sure you'll have no problem selling this coin. I'm sure it's a nice coin and I love the date. I wish you luck.

I've dealt with Marz on several occasions and haven't had any issues at all. He was friendly and attentive in our transactions.

As several others have said, he doesn't have to offer a return privilege if he doesn't desire and everyone has the right to pass on purchasing this coin. If you don't agree with his request, no problem, just don't buy. I'll work on teaching him how to post pics too!

I have three ALL TIME FINEST sets registered as well but who cares if I don't scan, can't scan and don't have a "policy" on my hobby right?

    the whiners are not!
My guess is Paul's collection is worth a half a weeks wages.
PCGS69 above sells super rare coins with pops in double/single digits.
I bought a 1795 silver dollar from him on here and Paul,Mike and penny Putz were no where to be found.
I forked over the big coin and didn't put Rob aka PCGS69 on an e-mail spam list either.

I also received a few pms and e-mails from collectors who don't care about all this they just want the coin.
It is ridiculous but for me now is merely entertainment given the comments by guys who collect nothing or junk.
Just ask "commonscents05' to post his collection for a laugh. He has commented on several of my posts then also PM's me
but of course owns nothing of substance over $99.00.

Why would you criticize the value of someone else's collection when you've already admitted that you need to sell the coin above just to buy another? Money should be no object for you, since you're a high and mighty "registry" collector, eh? OH, I get it: Buy/sell the holder. The coin is just filler.imageimageimage
