I had to use Matlab in my engineering courses. It's basically a program/language that manipulates functions and algorithms to create user specific "programs" tasked for various means.
The contest will close tonight at 10:00 P.M. Eastern Time. At that time I will generate the winning number and then assign a place within the final set to each winner for the final drawing.
I have also decided to sweeten the pot. The winner will now get these wonderful cards as well....
I am defintely not smart enough to understand the rules except that I should pick a number between 1 and 7. I don't get all that other stuff. I will thus go with #3 in honor of Steve Sax.
Ballots are now locked. Give me a minute to run my random number generator then I will come back with the winning number and order of remaining contestants.
And the Winner is #6 once again! My random contest lost some of its randomness. Congratulations to TheDutyMon. PM me your address and I will get your winnings off in the next couple of days.
Just in case anyone thinks the contest was fixed, here is a description of how the underlying algorithms function.

I will now run the random number permutator on the set 1:10, and whoever's number falls in element (1,1) will be the ultimate winner.
Stay Tuned!
