COUNTERFEIT ALERT Fake Pandas

Yes it is true, the Chinese are counterfeiting their own coins! Here is a fake 1oz. Silver Panda dated 2002. This coin tips the scale at 18g (.58 troy ounces) of .999 fine pot metal. To be fair, the pot metal is silver plated at least.
At a glance from inside the Air-Tight holder these coins look pretty good. However, they are very light and you'll also notice that there is no Yuan symbol next to the "10."
This was one of a group of about 50 that I was offered, they were of several different dates and designs and some did have the Yaun symbol in the correct location.
I have also seen fake gold Pandas and Panda sets in a genuine looking box with all of the correct paperwork. Don't buy any Panda coins without a very close look.
