I posted this somewhere else but I thought you all might enjoy this
Ive been pretty discouraged lately with no interesting finds in a few weeks. I went to the park after a long sleepy Sunday afternoon and didn't expect much. I went around the park and found nothing. The DFX was telling me "low Battery" so I decided to head back to the car and swing through a grassy field where the older people usually use for golf. I hit a good sign , 78 to 80 vdi at around 6 inches. I pull out the plug and poked around with my pinpointer . It didn't take me long before finding this Beauty, a 1878 dime. I thought I would call it quits for the day and will definitely be back to do a thorough search. It really brightened my day which would otherwise be a very gloomy rainy Sunday.I did a little research and it looks like this place was a farm in the 1800s.

hhaha I noticed that as well. Its a milk jug and a plastic cup help up by some sticks . Its probably some kids fooling around.. who knows.
sweet turf find!
Like the field shots, too.
I suspect the cup and the jug are put there as some kind of marker, rather than being the product of kids messin' around?
