Just got back from the show in Rosemont, Illinois. My first darkside show as im primarily a U.S. type collector. I was simply amazed at how far my money went today. I was able to get several slabbed high grade coins for very little cash outlay. Here are a couple of the coins I picked up today. I think I might focus more of my energy, and funds towards foreign material. Its provides the joy of collecting without the stupid high pricing that U.S. coins are now experiencing.

    When I went back to that dealer, just before I left, he let me look through a box of NGC slabbed coins. In it was the 1903 1/2 centavo in 65RD. I quickly snapped it up to go along with the 2 64Rd's that I bought earlier from him. The German 3 Kreuzer is a 66, I also got an 1863 1 Kreuzer in an NGC 67. The other MS64 coin is an 1855 German 1 schilling, its the one with the castle on it. It was good meeting you, lets do it again soon!image

    The combination of history, artistry and low prices on the darkside is hard to beat. You're hooked like me. image When I venture over to the US board now, I'm amazed at people paying 4 figures for a coin that just isn't interesting.

    I'll be back tomorrow to look for more notes from Ireland...I have to talk with Del Parker again and James King.

    Bidask! image You should be all over Andy's table instead, trying to locate a pair to the Uruguay 10c that comes from MrEureka to begin with. Or at least choosing Swiss goodies frrom Marcel.image

    I have peso, 50 cetavo and 20 centavo all 77 A's. Your 10 centavos is what I needed.
