A Plug for Russ' eBay Consignment Business...

I had a group of coins that I needed to sell, and eBay was the best forum. But with my work, I just can't stand doing eBay anymore, and even if I could do it, I don't have the time to deal with it. So, I decided to send a box of coins to Russ (Consign4Sale.com). He did a fantastic job with the auctions and keeping me up to date on what was going on. With the settlement check, he included a complete invoice that showed the auction close, insertion fees, final value fees, paypal fees, his commish, and the net proceeds. Everything went smoothly, and even though I knew Russ had a great reputation in all of his business dealing, I was very impressed by his service.

Thank you Russ, and I would recommend him to anybody that wants to sell coins on eBay professionally without all the hassles of doing it yourself and at a very reasonable price. You wouldn't realize near the price that Russ gets for coins with one of those "eBay Stores." And they charge MORE on top of the lower auction close you'd likely get.

Russ has done a terrific job with consignments for me in the past, including coins, baseball cards, and even a watch!

I recently purchased a computer from Compucheap, the computer arm of Russ' business empire, and the service and value were both excellent.

    Russ Rocks™!
  • That is a very nice tribute. I don't know the man or his ability. I will state that an individual that I respect and is held in high esteem in the Numismatic community informed me recently that he uses Russ' talents. I was impressed because this person considers integrity to be the most important asset and I am certain he would not have a relationship with a person lacking same. My final thought- Russ isn't the President? I have been mislead by the Boards... Respectfully, John Curlis

Actually, I enjoyed the images of the coins consigned to Russ. I believe two of the Morgans imaged were just outstanding

About a year and a half ago I had asked Russ to sell my registry sets(SBA's and SAC's) when I broke them up and to his credit he told me he would just as soon not because he didnt know the series that well. I respected him for that.

Now if he would just fix the noise in the socket of the "ignore feature", I would have even more respect for him. imageimage

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Russ---What do you charge to sell a coin? Sounds like a good business with a real need by collectors.

Add my name to the list of positive references. Russ recently disposed of some coins for me. His images and listings are great; I doubt I would have done much better had I listed them myself, and it certainly saved me a lot of time. Topnotch professionalism beginning to end. I would use his service again.

I agree with all that has been said about Russ and his consignment business! Another bonus is that if forum members PM him about the coins he is selling, he will give them an unbiased opinion about the coin.

I do not have any reason to consign to Russ, and certainly do not want to promote the "Russ Worship" thing. However, he does seem to be a very straight up guy, and his opinions on this board are well thought out. OK, I am done, I hate the male bonding thing.

<< <i>What does Russ charge for this service? >>

Give him a PM and ask him. I would mention, since i have used it as well, but I think that, since it is his business, it is better to get it directly from him.
His rates are reasonable. Very reasonable if you don't want to be bothered by doing the work (pictures, listing, mailing out, any potential headaches from the buyers, etc).

If you already have a rhythm on your own ebay selling, it may not be for you. I have done both though, as I mentioned, and what Russ did was fine with me and I was happy with how everything went.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I didnt realize he sold domain names. I've got a few that are extras with good names I'm going to see if he's interested in putting on his list on consignment. image

Thanks all. Russ already responded by PM. His rates are very reasonable considering the effort involved.

Russ is the quintessential professional, his attention to detail at every stage of the sales couldn't have been better, and I would have no hesitation in consigning coins through him again. Great job, Russ!
