Dirt sqeezin's since I've been absent from the forum.
February 08- Forgot to take the pictures before I put things away. Nothing worthy of pics anyhow just the three Bs(buttons bullets and buckles).
March 08- 3 sites, 5 times out, 1 skunk.
Site 1- Private yard in Newburyport Mass.
Not sure what this is, but it looks familiar.
US large cent dateless 1800 plus or minus a couple years.
US small cents 1864 and 1863.
Fancy large flat button no shank.
China cash coin late 1700s I think.
Site 2- Not a private lot so no clues until I hammer it.
1862 -64 and 1903. All taking a bath.
WIldcard find. IPOD nano 4G. It works. I've already put 250 songs on it. It must have been covered with snow all winter. When I finally charged it, and turned it on, the date was Nov 5 2007.
1865
Site 3- Ron's
Bronze ashtray?
Buttons. 2 Military. I believe the middle button is Rev. war era 4th Infantry, but I can't find it in Albert's and have no clue what the SD is. Any ideas?
Holy Mary 1836
Some kind of honing stone.
April 08- 3 sites 4 times out 1 skunk
6th A soon to be bulldozed woodlot.
Some sort of pewter tag. I got excited until I saw that USA was scratched in.
First dateable large cent of the year. 1843 US
8th- same site
1863IHC, small glass bead, tiny boot rivet, and remnants of a nickel.
9th- Back to March site 2
Nice 1864 2 cent US
Before and after cleaning pics. The IHC is 1906
