    Obviously as early as the early 1940's. Most of the cellophane envelopes and brown Kraft envelopes fell out of use in the late 60's, when cardboard 2X2's with cellophane windows appeared. Remember the ones with the square windows that were nearly as large as the 2X2?

    I sure do... darn coins kept spinning and never looked organized when you went to display them
