on eBay this week....It works fine and as a matter of fact was used recently and found a silver quarter.....I no longer need it, and I hate to see it sitting around and not being used...I'll post the eBay link when I get it posted there, for those of you that might be interested.

Listening to what my distributor and the 'trial user' has to say, it seems it is really good. What particular drawbacks are you referring to? I will be glad to pursue the line of inquiry. Cheers, RickO
PI units don't do as well on small specimen gold, wire gold and crystalline nuggets.
In extremely trashy areas, PI units also have problems because they don't have an effective discrimination system - you basically dig everything. So if there is loads of trash, you'll be digging all of it. This makes PI units unsuitable for general coin shooting and multiple use.
In summing up...
1. Too heavy for some users.
2. Poor and unreliable discrimination ability.
3. High cost of purchase.
That being said....I have been curious as to really how good they are. If you do get one, I would love to get your feedback. Right now, I just don't know.

PI units are not the best ones for coinshooting. The new White's unit is, according to reports, not heavy like others. It will be a bit more expensive than the DFX. I am not certain of discrimination capabilities... but I do know the 'trial user' has been nugget shooting with it.. so it does, evidently have improved discrimination. I will keep you posted - not available yet - but soon. Cheers, RickO
Hmm.
I was gonna pop you a $150 bid to give it a boost, but I see I got there after the show was over. Hope you are happy with the price. I suppose you can't complain, because that old thang prolly paid itself off what, ten, twelve times over? You definitely got your money's worth out of it before you sold it!
(At that price, I'd have taken the thing offa your hands. I could use a good relic hunting/backup/loaner machine. I might someday buy another Troy Shadow X2 like the one I had.)
