Here comes the scan in just a few minutes.........

It is not a $500+ card by any means -- I just found it to be very unique. I will need help from the group in getting more information on just what the heck this is......

Scan to come in a few minutes......

    OK.....HERE IT IS!!!!!!!!

It is the card in the upper right hand corner. The relic is part of his glove according to the back of the card. What I would like to know is the following....

    1) Has anyone ever seen a Ginter relic that is unique like this (without being a 1 of 1 or limited to 10)???

    2) Can anyone tell me what the "CL" is a part of? I was thinking it would be the brand name of the glove but I am not a boxing fan so I have no idea.....

    3) Anyone want it in a trade? I am looking for vintage cards in EX or better condition from 1952 through 1967. If I do not get any decent offers here I will be listing it on EBay. All of the other cards are also available for trade but I ONLY trade for my vintage needs. The RIP card has been ripped and the Ichiro mini pictured is what was inside.

Let me know if anyone wants to trade for vintage or if anyone has more info about what the CL stands for - I appreciate it!! Thanks!!!

Nice pull and yes I have seen someone with a relic like that but I forgot who it was. It was a piece of a green boxing glove. I bet you will get a good price for it on eBay.

Well parker I might be wrong about that card. Here is one that sold on eBay for a lot lower than I expected but at least yours is cooler looking. Also I think you should set up a big BIN price and you might get some pretty good offers.

I think it stands for Check List ~ LOL image

Seriously - price wise, you'll do better with the Ichiro and the Bruce. I got $68 for my Ichiro and $70 for my Bruce (funny we pulled the same cards on this board image )

I'll guess you end up with $45-55 for the Miranda. Of course, if you trade it, we'll never know image

I'd like the Kobayashi - I can trade you some vintage for it. Mostly I have junk, but maybe you want some of it image I'll PM you a list. Bill

I think 75 would be respectable, but if you can't get that, man what a nice piece. I might just put it away...you know in a few years a piece
like that will be one of a kind...i mean if you are putting together a full GU set, wouldn't you LOVE that in your set? I would love it but I have
no vintage. Nice pull on the Ichiro and Bruce...finally someone has pulled something out of a rip card that would outsell the intact rip card
    itself!

Why do you drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? Why do you take a leak, when really, you leave it? Why do you work hard to collect baseball cards when you could just as easily work hard at collecting trophy wives and be much happier? Why do people play the lottery when their odds of robbing a bank and getting away with it are higher AND you don't even have a pay a dollar to try and win at robbing a bank?

it got worse... one of the smaller cards is a 'oscar arias sanchez'.. it states he is from costa rica.

There are Master Set collectors on this board of this A&G. I do bow to you. Understanding some of this stuff is reprints of alternate card sets throughout the years, but why.. oh why.. is there a friggin oscar arian sanchez card in this.

The card companies are feeding the blind. This has become a mockery of sports card collecting. Sucking people in. Topps was sold .. correct ??? that was the end all be all of legitimate card collecting.. It's now a game...

take a pick.... support your family properly.. or buy this new stuff.....

hmmmm... I don't kshorton. I thought she was famous because she was the first female in history to have both a first and last name ending in "ie" and then founded the use of "ie" in sentences, such as this: People collect all kinds of crazy things (ie, baseball cards that don't actually have baseball players on them). Crazy - I know!

No! Just the one. None of the others have come up for auction yet. I do have silk 01/10. I'm looking for Bazooka 01/25 if I can find it. Hopefully I'll be able to snag the remaining 3 plates. This is the first one I've purchased. Never been a big fan of the plates, but I've decided to attempt to get every 1 of 1 this year, including the wood parallel if it shows up.

Taking me a while to catch back up on this thread.

Great piece of Miranda boxing glove. I'm the one that got some lettering on the Danny Green glove. I like yours a lot better.

<< <i>Yes, I figure it'll be cheaper to purchase the three remaining plates than the one wood. I hope they show up few and far between one another. >>

If the sale prices on the bazooka's are any indication, that wood is going to cost you a car payment or two!

The Bazookas are actually selling for about $20 less than last years Bazooka...but yes, I will have to sell off several appendages.

Thank you for showing me the other boxing relics guys! I'll probably put it on EBay this weekend and see what happens with it.

    Thanks again!

I was having some fun on the beckett site and was adding up the value of each card in my Ginter sets, these include the base set and all the
mini sets...regular minis and the subsets. Here are the totals:

    2006 1099.00
    2007 1272.00
    2008 1856.00

I also did it with the heritage sets. 2005 being the most coming in at 1435.00

Question for anyone that has a Kerri Strug relic in their A&G relic collection...

What does the text on the back of the card say?

I don't have one myself, but I've seen a few come up on eBay, and the fabric design doesn't really jive with what I remember seeing back in the day during the Olympics. I'm wondering if it's a warmup... or if, perhaps, it's a relic that's not even from that time period.
Nolan Ryan & Edgar Martinez are my favorite players...

Those are some very nice cards Ross. I really don't have a player that I collect that would cost me alot of money, but to own all the plates and 1/1 wood would be very neat. Good luck

I appreciate the well wishes Dave. If the cosmos can align with all of the cards actually making it to auction (and my having money when they do), it'll be a nice addition to my A&G and player collection. Probably the first and only time I'll attempt this.
