  • It will be auctioned on ebay, and many of the scams artist will nor have them. It may seem funny, but I bet some people are not going to read the April Fools claim. lol

Thanks, Aegis! I was looking for the 1805 that was sold earlier, but I didn't know which auction it was. Does anyone know where that "1805" dollar is now?

It would've been more believable if they'd said it had come from somewhere besides China!

The government is not interested in seeing
the price of gold going too high. Also, the high
price of silver was causing stress in the large
    sellers of paper silver.
It is my opinion that a grouping of central banks
decided that it was time to support the dollar and
bring PMs down to earth. The how escapes me but
as to the who, there is no doubt in my mind.

The above-story is fiction. It is not intended to contain criticism of President Jackson, Emperor Xuanzong, or any other government official, living or dead. All quoted statements above are fabricated. As far as I know, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has not issued any statement regarding a rare U.S. coin, nor about U.S. Proof Sets from the 1830s. Likewise, I am not aware of a Professor David Jones who is a specialist in Chinese history. If anyone named Jones has ever made a statement that bears resemblance to my fictional quote in the story, it is just a coincidence. >>>

Dang! I read the whole article before I saw this, ugh.
