Amazing to me that in the early 90's it was at around $4-$5 an ounce.

It's simply the last phase of this current manipulation.

    Nothing more and nothing less.
"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."

Probably all of the profits in silver are being siphoned off by Haliburton and the the members of the world wide cabal of evil capitalists whose sole aim is to keep us common folk downimage

The last few years, when I have bought these early in the year, silver has been at one of the year's highpoints....then decreased later.

With silver so high does this mean there will no longer be any clouds with silver linings?

Is not silver found in rocks? It stands to reason it would fall like one.( I used to win a lot at rock/paper/scissors). Respectfully, John Curlis

It was even more amazing back in the early 1970's when it was barely over $1 an ounce and silver dollars were like a drug on the market.

I'm going to buy more when it hits $9 again.

No manipulation seen? Are you blind?

Take a look at the chart - a vicious selloff at end of day London, Early NY,

    SCREAMS of manipulation........

If you already have enough, hold it.

If you have none, buy just enough.

If you have too much, sell a little.

If you want to buy in cheaper, wait a while.

It is ALWAYS better to miss a rally than to participate in a tanking.

There must have been some massive manipulation in the stock Merck today then. Look at the chart--massive selloff at the open. And worse yet, look at GOOG. Massive selloff and then a big rally. Or stock of Macys---why was it worth over 6% more at 3:30pm than it was at 9:40am?

If one desires an investment whose price is not manipulated, I suggest that silver is not the place to be.

Hmmm. Now silver is falling like a rock….a week ago there was a huge silver shortage…before that…somebody was manipulating the price… before that it was a weak dollar…before that somebody else was holding back silver….before that it was going “parabolic” (did you really mean to write “ballistic”?)….Ever stop and think that it’s just the way a thinly traded, speculative market behaves – particularly when industrial users could care less?

There still is a shortage of silver at most B&M shops in my area. At this weekend's show one shop was selling 100 oz. bars at $1950. ASE's are brining up to $2 premiums per coin. I myself picked up 77 Libertads this weekend as they seemed a fair deal at spot. We may see $25 via $15 but the end result is still the same.........

Silver is still under-valued even at the $21 spot. The demand is greater than the supply.

    what about 'W' that's a vowel, too!

PLOP? Did you bite too hard on your jelly donut? I heard the jelly shoot out the back and hit the floor.

Now THAT would have been a bargain!

    I'm guessing that you bought a couple rolls @ $19.55 x 20 per roll.

(If not, please point me to the nearest AMPEX salesman.)

Just remember that the futures silver and gold prices are effectively trading paper back and forth...until the day that most buyers start requesting delivery. The disconnect between paper and physical metal pricing is widening.
