Ok Crossovers how does it really work.

I have cracked out many coins and got upgrades from PCGS and NGC, but here is my issue at hand. I have heard so many different stories on crossovers, do you send in the coin and ask to be graded in the holder and then they crack it out? thanks for any info.

They grade the coin in the holder. If it meets the minimum grade you've stated on the submission form, they then crack it out and put in their holder.
