    I've found one detecting situation, and one only, where I would actually agree with the thread title:

    Water detecting on a beach early in the morning in the summer

    I'be been surprised at the number of highly interesting prospects showing up for a morning swim at say 6-6.30 am, and you're pretty much guaranteed to have a chat with them, with competition still being fast asleep image
