New Purchase: 1880-S Morgan Dollar -- NGC MS-64 PL

StuartStuart Posts: 9,793 ✭✭✭✭✭
I recently purchased this 1880-S Morgan Dollar, based on the following digital photos from the original auction listing.

I really like the strong cameo contrast between frosty devices and mirrored fields, as well as the apparent lack of significant contact marks on Miss Liberty's cheek and in other main focal areas.

What do you think about her?? Could she be a diamond in the rough... I will post my own high resolution photos, after receiving the coin.

Very nice Morgan, Stuart.... what was the price range? I assume it is a raw coin... could be very nice in hand. Cheers, RickO

If it has been graded by ngc what grade did they give it?

For it to be a diamond in the rough, you must have gotten a pretty good price on her. What's the assigned grade? I do like the mirrors and contrast, btw.

64 PL. Looks like some haze keeps it from DPL. Nice cameo.
