Opinions please on crossover/upgrade potential of the 1916 Buffalo - UPDATE

Strike is strong. Would you rather have it in its old NGC holder than a new PCGS holder if it only crosses and doesn't uptick? Thoughts? Thanks.

Didn't upgrade but did cross at 65 - Used this as my quarterly special

Can`t grade Buffalo`s to well

You will be taking a chance with this one... a very nice coin indeed...however, it may come back in a '64 holder. You can stipulate 'cross or better'... and have it back in the same holder if it will not. Be careful, be sure you stipulate what you want. Cheers, RickO

IMO it may be downgraded to a 64. It is definitely a nice piece and I agree that there may be doubling, so its a tough call. If it was mine I would try crossing it with a min. grade of 65. That way you would only be out the grading fee, if it does not cross.
