Error 1904 DOUBLE STRUCK --- INDIAN --- off center image

As per the seller - 1904 double struck with 2 full dates

However this gem has been holed on the center of the second strike. image

    It was a great coin... now it's moved into another dimension not dead but too costly for a Holey collector and not sure if an Error Collector would spring for it either?

    Looks like it was worn as a pendant.
    I don't think the hole kills it as an error, but his starting price is pretty near market (famous last words).

    I would make an exception to my 1900 cutoff date to put something like that on the Holey Coin Vest.

    But I'm not actively hunting holeys right now, except for Seated dime love tokens.

    Y'know, the hole just goes to show that it was prized as a curiosity a century ago. They weren't as uptight about holes and cleaning and such things then.
