Out of curiosity, why did you pick 1870? I completed an 1870 Proof Set myself (no gold). I just stumbled into doing it when I noticed that I already had a portion of the set and that it would be cool to try to complete it.

Well my birthyear is 1970 which is interesting but not quite as interesting as 1870. I also am working on an 1870 Proof set.

In just the silver coins, the quarter, half and dollar will be somewhat challenging. For some reason all 3 of them are rarely found original and non-conserved. The quarter seems to be the most abused of the 3. Finding those in wholesome MS63 will be a chore.
