Registered Mail & Electronic Signature Confirmation

I was recently made aware of the fact that you can have electronic signature confirmation with registered packages. It is also only about $.85 more. This is great if you sell on e-Bay and accept payment from Pay Pal. The people at the Post Office were as surprised as I was.

It's called electroic Return Receipt. Signature confirmation is another form entirly. electronic Return Receipt is simply requested at the time of mailing.

You are right. I asked for and was told I had electronic signature confirmation, but I guess I don't. Hope the $2100 coin I sold doesn't come back to haunt me.

When purchasing return receipt for registered packages be sure you specify email option (instead of the green return post card) so that you will have the ELECTRONIC proof of delivery in the event of a paypal dispute.

It works like Signature Confirmation the differences are the service availability requirements, you can also request Return Receipt for Express Mail. Also, For Return Receipt an item must also be sent Registered mail or insured for over $200, that does not apply for Signature Confirmation. As long as you have the receipient's signature that can be viewed online it will be sufficient for PayPal in the event of a dispute.

All you need to do is enter the RE # ( Registered mail #, which requires a signature) to your PayPal account for that sale. As long as PayPal has an online # that will give them the info as to who signed for it...you should be ok.

That is correct, however, if you purchase the ( Return Receipt) Signature confirmation, enter that # in lieu of the RE #.

Tried it this week and it works good. Only $1 and the USPS e-mails (within 5 min.) buyers signature,and buyer printed his name and address . This will satisfy Paypal. The postal worker also asked me to let him know how it turned out, as it was his first time issuing one, even though it has been around awhile now.
