Now that is cool.... some potential there... a real McGyver type trick. Yep, that is a must try... Cheers, RickO

This reminds me of when I tried to build a metal detector from scratch (not a Heath Kit). I had the schematics and saved to buy the components from Radio Shack. A transistor here, capacitor or resistor there and the wire for the coils. Took forever and a year but when I was finished, it didn't work. I was a broken kid. I eventually "upgraded" to a Radio Shack detector that worked but had about 1" depth on a dime. Ah yes, good times, good times.

Crispy...your story reminds me of the good ole days in computers....I had an Atari 800 that used a tape system to hold data. I bought a magazine that you could programm the code onto the tape in machine language, and then when done and played back on the computer, you would have a game like Dungeons and Dragons. There was 40 some odd pages of code like this:

    23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23 23 56 fe df 25 01 45 36 23

You could see where it was very tedious and extremely likely you would make a mistake somewhere..Well, after a solid week of putting in the code...I tried to run it, naturally the thing wouldn't even load.....LOL....boy I wasted a lot of time on that...it sure was disappointing.....
