Suzie B purty as she can be

Taken with a Canon SD1100 IS which is a brand new pocket cam. Good macro performance. I still like DSLR's better but this ain't half bad for a $200 point and shooter.
I couldn't do much with the flash and the plastic the coin was in but it captured the toning and luster nicely I thought.

<< <i>Hey Mike...mostly playing around with the new camera but if all the suzie's tone up like this I could see myself getting into it.

Got a bank roll of "mixed dollar coins" the other day.... they were all SBA's '79..... about 2/3 of 'em were toned like that.
I really enjoy the instant feedback from pushing Enter on the Computer and seeing my picture on a 24" iMac screen.
Also with the SD1100 (as with many point and shoot cameras) you can't remove the CF card while the tripod adapter is attached.
Shoot. Remove adapter, remove card. Insert card in camera. Don't like photos, repeat.
Yeah, you can hook the computer to the camera via USB but that's slow and frustrating most of the time and the Canon software always launches and you gotta download the photos via selection blah, blah, blah.
