Ok....maybe not a coin...but when I dug it, I was thinking it was...... until I got it cleaned and saw the back... image Anyway it is a Gold gilt cuff link from the colonial period..Still happy to have it.

    Nice find Millennium. I bet that got your ticker going there for a few seconds, huh? I know it would me. The few times that I have been lucky enough to find some gold, it sure did get my heart to going.

    That is a very nice find--even if it isn't a gold coin!!!

    Yea Scott........I thought I had found a 1 dollar gold coin for a sec...it was about the same size....still a good find though...

    A little update.......I posted this on another site, and they are of the mind that this was made in the later 1800's to early 1900's...not a colonial period piece... image

    Still happy with it though...
