Rod Carew would be my 2B/IF. You could say Joe Torre as a catcher because he never played in a WS as a player (but he split time at other positions)

Have to put Carew at 2nd because George Sisler would definitely be at 1st - 340 career avg

Behind the plate... Joe Torre had a pretty good career as a catcher, and never appeared in a WS as a player.

HoF catcher Rick Ferrell never played in a WS.

Asside from a few dead-ball era guys in the 1800s, there are two recent 300+ game winners who never saw the Series...
Phil Niekro = 318 wins
Gaylord Perry = 314 wins

If we count Torre as having an appearance in the World Series, Victor Martinez may be close to the best choice for catcher. Griffey has to be the centerfielder and Sosa the rightfielder

Is Thomas a firstbaseman or a DH? More games at DH, but his best years were at firstbase. Either case Carew or Edgar Martinez are the easy choice for the position Thomas does not occupy

No secondbaseman is close to Sandberg; Billy Williams is definitely better than Kiner for leftfield

Big Frank has a ring, but he was injured during the series and didn't see any playing time. He may have played a few games at 1st base in '05, but that's it, but I don't recall him being in the field.
