What Collectors Will Pay!

There is a coin flake shaped like Illinois on Ebay and the current bid is 1600 dollars. There is a dime for comparison. I thought I was crazy for spending 1000 bucks for a Lincoln Cent. Not connected with that auction at all just thought it was interesting the amount people will pay to advance their collections. I'm no good with links but type in corn flake on Ebay search and you find it. I guess people think coin collectors are crazy for spending what they do on old coins.

I doubt it's a "collector." Probably a Vegas casino doing it for publicity...like the Virgin Mary on a grilled cheese.

Sounds interesting just for a look. Happen to have a item number or link?

Truth be told, that is a giant flake. Unfortunately, the guy who wins this obnoxious item will be an even bigger flake.

I wouldn't buy that if I was that guy. What he doesn't realize is that flake is just a prototype for Kellogg's new Statehood "flakes" series of cereal. Apparently 4 new boxes will be issued each year celebrating a different state of our wonderful country. They haven't decided on whether or not to continue with territories, etc....
