Lets see some Red Man cards!

This is the first Red Man card I have owned thanks to Teddy ( RipMass ) Looking on Ebay I find a bunch of these that are pretty hefty in price, the artwork is amazing in my opinion. Anyone on the boards have some they would like to share?

Holy Red Man! Those are gorgeous cards, thank you for sharing.

BTW- I love the Black background on the photo bucket album, I just did the same to mine. It really brings out the color and presents well! image
  • Dang, those are nice.

    Love the Snider.

  • Thanks, fellas.

Red Mans are pretty under-rated in my opinion. The sets are chock full of HOFers, and can be had for pretty cheap, especially when compared to other cards from the '50's. Sets are only 50-ish cards too. Good beginner sets, or sets for folks with tight budgets like moi.

'52 and '53 can be pretty tough, but '54 but '55 are relatively easy if looking for low-mid grade. '54 has a couple of variations (Philley, Mele, Kell).

Beautiful cards, Sparks! I only have one. Unfortunately I didn't know anything about them when I bought it and the tab had been removed. I still like it.

You may be right for low-mid grade copies but the PSA 6 and up for HOF'ers are big money at least on the Bay. I was curious about maybe grabbing a 52 Ted Williams or a Willie Mays with tab in PSA 7 and boy was I suprised- big bucks!

Yep, that's what I meant. Low-mid grade. There seems to be a pretty big jump in price between the mid and high grades.

Well at any rate your Red Mans might have some 5 and 6 grades attached to them but again they are awesome looking cards- Im jealous!
  • This is my 1st Redman. I have 6 1953 redmans I haven't received yet but they include Bob Lemon and Roy Campanella.

Collecting Roberto Clemente and Willie Stargell cards.
  • I really like them a lot only because putting baseball cards in tobacco products is such an outstanding idea. They need to go back to that

Some of my faves from the only year I'm collecting (right now):
