I just got my Sunray GI-1 fixed. Actually, they replaced it. I had one go bad on me after two weeks, then procrastinated for a year before sending it off, and I had never registered the warranty, to my knowledge, but they replaced it anyway.

The Sunrays are inline probes that mount on the shaft of your detector, and run off its power supply and use its discrimination settings. Very nice. Not cheap, but nice to have. I am tickled to have one again. I guess that first one was just a lemon.

I also have a Sunray. It's the X-1 for my minelab SE and it's now my favorite pinpointer. When I use one of my other detectors I use the White's Bullseye II. It has proven to be a very worthwhile pinpointer and I wouldn't hestitate to buy another when needed.

The Sunray IS a good option! It does mount on the detector and is made for that model detector.
So if you have other units you will want a handheld pinpointer. About $170.00

The bullseye is a good unit.
The Vibra Probe is water proof: Treasure Products, Inc | The Home of Vibra-Probe About $120.00

The Wizard Vib-Probe is good: http://wizind.com/flyers.cfm About $50.00

Good Luck

the only one I have is my detector, I x the spot, usually works good but sometimes the target seems to move, I guess I should invest in one...

I have a vibraprobe and it seems durable and the waterproof part is invaluable for beach hunting but I have a beef with it. It has the auto shutoff that vibrates every time the shut off engages. So you tip it upright to turn it on, use it and put it back into its holster and then it vibrates again when it goes off. Perhaps this doesn't bother other people but when you are in the state of fine tuning your senses to pick out every little sound from your detector this intrusion rattles my concentration every time.
