My Uncle gave me a whole binder of 80's and 90's garbage. I noticed there were a few RC's of the aforementioned players in there. And these things are in pretty good shape! Mostly 8-9 matierial but there might be a few gems in here.
Are any of these cards worth anything in high grade?
If you need close-ups of any one card, let me know, I've got the binder right here.
Thanks for any help.

Another board member showed interest in this card so I'm posting better photos.
<< <i>...do your homework. >>
Alan, as for your PM suggesting that I go play in traffic, excuse me for suggesting that you do your own homework instead of relying on everyone else to do it for you.
Can I get you some Card Saver I's?
Can I bid on some auction house items for you?
Can I research 45 cards for you?
Do it yourself.
If you're posting to move them...move the thread to B/S/T
Is either you or Steve. Dont you have anything better to do than to start arguments on EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY THREADS?
Nevermind everyone, forget I posted this.
No more replies please.
It is not either Gumby or Steve
It is you!!
Steve
or else they wouldnt keep coming back - I like the thread - GOOD LUCK with them...

Earlier today I mentioned that I too had gotten spam emails and you claimed I accused you of sending them.
I made no such claim!
I too am getting sick and tired of your whining all the time.

Your uncle is quite a guy !
I would be excited to get a binder with those in there ,
Congratulations on the sweet score !
he and I had a truce and he tells me to play in traffic, then I specifically did not reply to this thread (I only looked at the cards)
and see that he had to put my name into the middle of this.
I truly think he has me confused with someone else, this has gotten out of control now.
When he had his first meltdown he accused me of ganging up on him and I had never even replied to any of his
threads!!
The dude is sick.
And I'm tired of it.
he should do what Carol said that time Post and move on.

...especially with a binder page full of cards sitting right there...
Steve, got your panties in a bunch?
<< <i>Sorry if I was sarcastic...i thought your question was a joke, ie you calling it garbage and then asking if you get a high grade if it would be worth anything. I didn't realize you were seeking serious advice. >>
I didnt take offense to your reply.
Most of the binder was crap, that's what I meant by garbage. These cards might have been good, but I wasnt sure, that's why I asked.
No biggie dude

Alan - some of that stuff was from the big 'boom' of selling and production in the card industry and is so over-produced that's it's just impossible to sell - even in high grade - my intuition tells me that even a 10 may not sell for the price of grading except maybe Griffey RC.
McGwire? I've got a boatload of his and Bonds' cards - I opened a ton of wax back then for fun. Never gonna be popular as before the scandal.
It's nice that your uncle gave them to ya - I would probably just thank him graciously and neatly stack them in the closet for about 30 yrs - who knows?
BTW - back around 1992 or 3? The industry sold almost a Billion dollars in product. Now it's more like in the 400 million range if memory serves. They'll probably never see anything like that again. I think it may have partly been a baby boom phenomenon - and that ship's sailed. Name? Titanic. Sunk to the bottom of the sea forever!
Nice cards tho.
