    Post of the year.

    Very insightful.

Oh, and I'd like the balloon animal to be an elephant.

Steve.....Alan......you're both good guys in my book thats why Im gonna say this. Cut the $hit!!!! Either agree to disagree, and move on or just can it! You guys are too intelligent to be going back and forth like two little school girls fighting over a doll. It seems that lately any thread that has more than 1 page of replies, contains some kind of conflict. Its getting tiresome.

Now, Alan...keep us posted on your Manny rookies, and Steve, lets get back to talking 55 Topps!

    Is that your ball?

That's a fantastic signature.. How did you acquire it?
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

stown, I bought it in a hunt auction last year. It was the only one I had seen and I thought I paid to much. When another one showed up last month I was a little concerned so I spoke with David Hunt about it and this is the story. The ball came from one of the sons of Syd Pollock who organized a lot of barnstorming tours. There were 10 of them signed almost the same way on one of the tours after the players were already in the majors and given to the kids. I bought this one last year and when the auction ended , the son told David Hunt to talk to his brother as he had "one of those balls" as well. that one sold last month , the differences between the 2 balls is that the second has doby and on the 2nd the bobinson and campy are opposite each other so one would be upside down if displayed. the one I have they are across from each other so they are both face up when displayed. I bid very aggressively on the second one as welland got toasted!
    2nd ball sale last month
  • Yeah, that's one heck of a nice ball man.

Campy's on my list too (obviously). I think there's a 7.5 on the Bay as we speak.

I'm still watching this Rackie. I think it ends next Wednesday.
