I would think the fact of this card being a common, semi-star or star card is irrelevant. The situation is a card is offered at a set price. An offer was made. The offer was refused. The matter should be over. By the way young man you seem awfully frustrated, have you thought about increasing your offer? Is the card nicely centered with fantastic eye appeal? There are many reasons other than greed that sellers ask more than SMR or VCP. If you feel the seller is unreasonable simply wait and if the card does not sell perhaps his price comes down. If someone else purchases during that time send him an apology.

if you send him an apology please do not start another thread about your apology
<< <i>Alan, are you sure you have the population numbers right? The only cards in the '49 bowman pop report I see with more than 90 7s are Campanella, Jackie Robinson and Stan Musial. Not exactly commons. >>
This situation, as with most of Alan's mysteries, isn't worth the time spent trying to help him find an answer. His story has more holes than swiss cheese and fewer details than were discovered at the Congressional hearings for Clemens.
Just another thread for the kid to pout in public for not getting his way.

Hey Gio...that could be considered circumvention of the word censor...AND a threat of violence. Way to go!
I would suggest not asking for advice if uou are going to be cryptic about what card it is. I mean, this is retarded that you won't say what card it is.

I guess it's kinda like pornography - hard to define - but I know it when I see it.

<< <i>Offering VCP price for a high-pop card within an issue (a "common") shouldnt be an unreasonable offer. >>
It may not have been an unreasonable offer, but if the seller wants more than you offered, it simply was not high enough. Get over it.

First it was a low pop, then it was a PSA 6 that had triple the amount in 7 etc etc etc.
Perhaps it was a general question?
