(I thought I did ok last month but ended up only about half of what you did! )
How much does that sort of a tune-up cost?
Just curious how the other brands charge... I've had my XLT sent back to Whites a couple times and it usually runs about $100.
Edit to add:
And now I'm thinking it might be time to have my Minelab Explorer XS tuned up... I'm dreading what that might cost me.
<< <i>Oh great, now that monthly silver count will be untouchable!

That's what I was thinking.

I'm gonna guess $40.42.
$42.40 total which INCLUDED the shipping back to me....I am impressed. And that is the reason I have been a Garrett user for 25+ years now.
Now I am dying to get out and test that new depth, supposedly 15% deeper than my old one.
<< <i>Riccar..I have to tell you..I was impressed with the service and communication with Garrett. First off, they replaced the circuit board in my system with the newer one that has the newest chip upgrades. They also replaced the power cord that connects the unit to the housing, they replaced my battery holders that had broken on one side, even though they still worked, They replaced my old coil with the newer more stable deeper one, and after that, they re-tuned the whole unit...the cost?

Yeah, I was... but I wasn't anywhere near the computer to see that or your PM-ed invitation.
Plenty of opportunity for a raincheck, though...
