i fired up the excal

and hit miami this am....the water was rough and i was thinking about just hunting in the sand until a couple of guys from the south florida treasure hunting club showed up and starting calling me names....lol....i jest..so i suited up and got wet....the current was strong from the north and it was hard to stay on a target but i managed a 10k ring with 2 small diamonds and a silver pearl earring...i got a little banged up out there, but it was worth it....hh

  • I'm going to have to try some water hunting here...I am sure, or well I should say, I have never seen anyone hunt the beach waters here..may be very productive.
  • just like on land mdawg, you never know what you'll find....based on your land saves, i'd say that you'll adapt to the water just fine....hh

That's a purty ring. I would like to expand my searching in the water arena at some point. How does that Excal perform? I have an SE that I've been very pleased with on land.

  • i love the excal in the water. i've had it for 2 years now and it has been a dependable unit...i would highly recomend it for a water machine, especially salt water...plus, i always have a machine i can hunt with on rainy days....hh

Makes me wish I didn't live 4+ hours away from the beach. Good thing I live near a huge river/lake that people swim and play in! I think I'll invest in a waterproof unit now.
