Need help in identifying this Thai? coin

I found this coin in a dime roll. I believe it to be from Thailand, but I have no idea as to the date, denomination & metal composition.

    Thai 1 baht B.E 2538 (1995).

    Edited to add: copper-nickel.

  • It is a Thai 1 Baht dated 2538 in the Buddhist Era (1995 AD). Thai numerals are so similar it is hard to tell some from others.

Difference between a 4 and 8 is the little 'bump' at the base. The 8 has a bump.

BTW, you got ripped off on the coin. A Thai 1 baht is only worth 3c. image

  • That was fun. I was able to read that on my own. All that studying pays off.
