This thread sorta brings the Chinese counterfeit stuff into a scary reality and makes you realize how real this stuff is. image

Here is the original thread from the dark side.

All you ever wanted to know about Chinese counterfeits but were afraid to ask

Ok, this dropped several pages before I could even blink. Guess I will have to transfer the photos to make this thread more impressive. image

Shoot, how did I miss that.

Oh well, now there is no need to click the link in the original post or the other thread.

Definitely would not want finger prints on a new commemorative/counterfeit. image

Their fingerprints are in the Chinese criminal database and they don't want the counterfeit coins tied back to them.

If there is money to be made, the nefarious element will capitalize on it. There should not be amazement or incredulity here... you have counterfeiters and coin doctors... now counterfeiters have been around as long as there has been coinage... coin doctors not so long. They have flowered (neat term - and applicable) since the toning fad has taken hold (so sad ) and of course along with toning are the tooling and putty guys. A market draws thieves.. simple as that. Cheers, RickO
