Law & Order: Criminal Intent- Gold Coins

Tune in next Wednesday at 9PM. They are doing an episode that apparently centers on classic US Gold.

The short preview I saw had what looked to be Proof $20 Libs, among others.

I'm sure the plot will be that whoever had the coins in the first place met with a bad end, thus your murder mystery...image
Rufus T. Firefly: How would you like a job in the mint?

Chicolini: Mint? No, no, I no like a mint. Uh - what other flavor you got?

  • Maybe it's some of those gold-plated base metal proof Liberty "tribute coins" that a guy spent his life savings on, then took revenge on the seller after he had it appraised.

sorry i cannot participate. i canceled my cable tv connection and spent
    the money on gold.

i would rather own it then watch a decade old tv show act around it.

I understand it centers around some idiot who bought dipped and whizzed coins from some old fart dealer. image

Multiple repeat... and kind of far fetched. Cheers, RickO

I liked the bum on the beach with the metal detector. Says to the cops "hey, I told him it was worth money and I gave him 10 bucks for it" (20 liberty)

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be watching it.

image I missed it last night (working late at the office), but reading these posts, I know which episode it was (a repeat, like Ricko said).

My favorite part is how a five-gallon bucket solidly packed with gold coins can be easily lifted and moved about.

Not only that... it can also be pulled up from the ocean floor by its flimsy handle!

Those 19th- and early-20th-century gold coins... I tell ya... they were as light as aluminum. No wonder they went the way of the dodo bird.

  • I saw it last night.I enjoy those shows.
