Check out this auction. If this were legit, would the bag contain all coins dated with the stamp on the bag?

    What makes you think it's not legit? Mint Sewn bags of cents are fairly common. And yes, they would be all the same date (at least 99.999% of the time)
    I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.
    Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.

  • They are probably all the same date. These tend to go RB in 50 years.

    Bag location: Palm Beach Gardens, Florida <<< NOT GOOD. Prolly spotted out the Wa-zooooooooooo.

    They are all probably 1958 but I know with the Morgans the Mint would count up stockpiles and re-bag them in the early 1900's.

    So if a bag had all 1880 coins and they needed a few more to fill the bag they would through in random dates. i.e. you just don't know till you open it.
