MS63 morgan dollar?

No.

It looks like a 62 to me. Then again, a great many certified CC Morgans look one point worse to me than the grade on the label says.

Very nice strike, lots of chatter on obverse.I'd say high end 63, maybe even 64. Very nice CC!

Given the Date and MM Combo, it is possible. Based on the pic, some of the "hits" on the face are grazes that took off some of the frost.

I have seen many 81 CC's that have the same overall appearance in 62 and 63 Holders.

While I see many coins like this in 63 holders (in both flavors), any I submit come back 62 or 61.

I seem to be with the consensus on this one. The reverse looks 64, but the obverse would bring it down to 62. It could possibly go 63 on a good day.

Overall-62

Morgans usually have better Reverses and are mainly graded by the Obverse

62 obverse and a 65 reverse. BUT, with a coin like this the Obverse counts so much more than the reverse.

I'm saying PCGS and NGC don't give it more than a 62. There is just WAY TOO MUCH chatter and friction on the obverse high points.
