I paid a little north of $15 for a 1794 half dollar a couple yrs ago. Sent her back cuz seller would not let me remove from the flip to aid in authentication.

I paid a little south of $10 for an 1801 Eagle. MS details but altered surfaces. I let her go about 3 yrs ago. Kinda miss her, even with the problems.

Otherwise, I have been much more frugal overall!

I spent about $650 on a 1928 Saint Gaudens PCGS MS63 about 2 1/2 years ago. I sold it for about $800 and thought I did well. I should have held it for another year or two.

I also spent $650 on a PCGS MS65 Antietam half.

Technically I spent $700 for an F-12/15 1807 O-111a Bearded Goddess.
The reason I say "technically" is that I was trading a coin for $1k and wanted to pick this guy up.

I'm happy I picked this coin up, but $700 to me is an ENORMOUS amount of money and I'm still kind of shocked I did it.

Just kidding. I've purchased multiple coins over $1M [5 of them, to be exact]. The highest was the Eliasberg 1913 Liberty nickel. The scariest was the first - the Eliasberg 1885 Trade Dollar. Prior to buying that coin for $1.5M, my highest purchase had been $200k or so. Talk about sticker shock! The next few were much easier...
