Mark the date... Russ loses it

Surprised Russ would go off the cliff over the B&M thread about selling coins to some low ball dealers .Russ has been the one of the rocks of this posting community .
I experienced the same thing selling coins for a client this year . Seems to me , some coin dealers I contacted , still act like used car salesmen from the '60s . But as long as there are gullible people..oh well ...Hey Russ , here is one for you

There aren't too many who can cleverly paint pictures in someone's mind like you do, Russ. I gotta hand that to you !

Because the mods and the owners get tired of the bullsheet. One of those posters needs to be given the boot. Nothing but negativity and asinine comments.

Mrearly if that is me you are speaking of kindly accept the following challenge, please try to photograph and sell everything listed on your website, now that is something that I would love to see. Am I asking for a lot here, isn't that what DEALERS are supposed to do? >>
Man, I respected you even if I didn't agree with you very much, but you seem to be off your meds at this point, JMHO.
Rob
So that means 75% are fine. Thats a good ratio compared to alot here. Plus, You know I post some nice coins now and then.
Maybe I should just start bashing again. GROUND & POUND BIZZZZZZLEZZZZZZ
Most B&M shop folks have to struggle to make a profit. Its volume and YES as Russ says, the overhead has to be met or you go home.
My local B&M shop has a few folks who show up with a very rare and/or specific variety and then they sit there , jaw agape, at the fact that they are not getting babilliions of dollars. You think the dealer is going to buy the coin at your price and still make a profit fast and quick eh?
Funny, but I recall inventory as being a real 400 pound monster as far as overhead as well. Yeah man. give me that 12 grand coin and klet it sit while I lose my customer base to all the new kids and their Dads hunting for starter sets.
I repauired watche for years, jewelry etc etc, your everyday plain Jane or Joe who wants a simple fix is your bread and butter. How about te sell me the 30 grand Omega signature etc etc who comes in? Great, BUT, you will get what I give my base...great service.
Dealers at a B&M have to make a profit, etc etc I love the B&M, you get to hold the coind and mett other collecters. Why the hell not?

I have to wonder if this guy (Realone, not Russ) is a reincarnation of MBT
Moral of the story: If you are going to sell a specialized, rare coin you need to find the correct audience (i.e. a specialized dealer).
the original poster bought an error coin with a low population that is worth?
wants top value, did not get offered it
expects to get near last reported auction price
some nimrod started blabbing about taxes and mark-up ,....
and B&M shop trying to rip customers....
try trading that nickel for the pick-up
