What happened to the days when people would use just one explanation point to illustrate excitement? And what about multiple question marks- what does that mean? Is it more of a question? Are you asking it multiple times?

I think when someone types or writes more than one exclamation point they are trying to show more that just the regular amount of excitement , kind of like the difference between winning a thousand dollars at poker or winning a million .

As far as the question marks, I dunno , but it is something I catch myself doing , i'm going to go with really really really confused , rather than just confused .

Interesting observation though . . .
