.5 Bump-Up Is Treason

The .5 bump-up is a betrayal of trust perpetrated by PSA against its loyal customers who made the company what it is today. Remember when they told us the 1-10 scale was the only viable system at a time most of its competitors used half points, that delineating to so fine a degree was tantamount to guesswork? It was all propaganda.
But we believed them and based our collections on an intact 10-point system.
Now they say that .5 grading is necessary because of SMR prices, which everybody knows is a joke.
Don't tell me to talk to Joe. As Marc Antony said of those who murdered Caesar: "They will undoubtedly answer you with reasons."
It's not a stretch to predict that in 5 years or so, when bump-up cards stop rolling in, they'll go to a .25 scale, then to .10, then to .01. That's their long-range business plan. Afterall, isn't Set Registry now based on 100 points?
Believe it. They want you and your heirs to keep sending in the same cards forever.
And they have the gall to call it a hobby.

    and eBay raised their fees this year. Oh woe is me. Time to quit the hobby.

    Whats this .5 bump up your talking about? If I send in a BGS 7, will PSA change the BGS label to 7.5? Is it a free service? What will PSA do with all the GEM Grading Company 10's I have?

    The .5 Bump-Up hates all humanity and spreads lies and deceit throughout the world.

    If you take .5 and multiply it by 1332 what do you get? That's right, 666. Coincidence? I think not!

    Look around you people. The .5 Bump-Up will get you if you don't watch out!

    I see PSA's cynicism is catchy.
    Murder most foul.
    Humor most dark.
    The hobby is still fun and justice is never too late. Just because poisoned koolade is served doesn't mean we must drink it. We have a choice.
    I just ain't gonna do it. I know I'll get flack for this post, but what the hell. As for all those .5's soon to appear on the market, lol.
