My 78 OPC set is starting to look pretty nice.
My goal GPA is 9 or higher. >>

Beckett would have to grade that card a BGS 6 because it has rough edges and a little tilt. They're not used to seeing OPC cards with rough edges... image

    Guys,

I apologize for the spam - but I've just broken up my 72 OPC Baseball trading set (my doubles) and posted the 7's (as a lot) 8's and 9's on eBay. A lot of them are Pop 2's and 3's. Over 90 cards in all.

    Cool thread

Ironic on Rose being one of the tougher cards in '78 OPC
It's one of the easiest stars to find in 9 in the Topps version

I'd like to throw the 1974 OPC Cardinals Team card out there.
It's a card I've been looking for for over 3 years. I have about 4 raw copies that are all dogs.

The 1976 OPC Johnny Bench is extremely tough. After the PSA 8 shown below the next highest graded is one PSA 9 o/c and two PSA 5.

I'll have to dig up my Bonds 8 and see what it looks like.

Tom, how do your raw 77 Ken Brett's look?

Here are a few of my tough ones. Trillio is a POP 1 with none higher, Brett is a POP 1 with one higher, Bonds is a POP 2 with one higher, and Metzger is a POP 2 with none higher.
All of the other Metzger's I've seen are out of focus.

The Brett Record Breaker PSA 9 is very difficult. The asking price is fair in my opinion. Here is mine

My next sub should add to these totals. I have around 100 cards ready to send in.

BTW Terry, thats the BEST Bonds I have ever seen. No miscut on back? I wonder who has the PSA 9?

I just checked my top 2 sets, I have 46 PSA 10's in my 1st set and 6 PSA 10's in my 2nd set.
With my next sub, these totals should go up a bit

Those are easier to get in a 9. My 10 is a pop 1.
The PSA 9'S you can probably get in the $15 range.
    PSA 8 probably under $10

Not me. Questionable centering on both cards.

I'm not really sure who bids that much for the Bonds??
It's not like we have a huge Registry battle going on. Is it because of this thread?
