Roadkill finds for 2007

I've keep my roadkill money in a jar for a year and then put it in another container but have never kept a count. I had 3 plastic jars last year and decided to count it during the New England game. I knew that I had found a lot of change and more bills than usual. I do a lot of walking and jogging. My wife said that several of the pennies were hers. Here are the results.

Pennies-----651
Nickels--------59
Dimes--------108
Quarters------66

$1--------------10
$5----------------3
$10---------------2
$20---------------3

Total cash value--$141.76

I'm going to turn in all of my found money and use it on a 2008 $5 Gold Eagle.

  • That's alot of loot PPC! I'm a firm believer in bending over to pick up a penny myself, it's not only good exercize but it adds up fast.

Your coin totals are very similar to mine for the year but my "folding" money finds were one single single.
I include the clad I find in CoinStars and other vending machines along with road cash. I call it "found money".
