Lets go! I am starting this type of thread EARLY ! As a die hard GIANTS fan I firmly state "screw Brett Farve and the Packers .... and their stupid frigid air! I have no interest in the Brett Farve and the Lambeau FRIGID COLD mystique. I have interest in only a NY GIANTS upset win in Green Bay

IF,IF,IF,IF,IF!!!!!! They end up making it to the Super Bowl and winning it, Im not sure what would be sweeter? A revenge victory against Favre and the Pack or a Win against the Giants (because they are a NY team ofcourse)
<< <i>If you can't spell his name right, you can't bash him.
John >>
I type too fast to spell correctly and I don't care.
Not to mention that I was not bashing Brett, I just said screw him and his frozen tundra

The Giants have surprised everyone with their toughness.
And Farve can have lapses which lead to turnovers.
I say its a toss-up who wins.

Did I mention SCREW Green Bay, Brett Favre, and its frozen tundra?

.....but considering a Super Bowl entry for the Giants is at stake, I don't blame you for trying.
I'll grant you they aren't Love Boat scandalous like the team I cheer for, but classy isn't a word I'd use describing the Pack. Favre maybe, though his annual should I stay or should I go routine is getting a little old.
<< <i>Chmura....Davenport....K. Rob.... Nothing but class those Packers. Don't get me started on their fans.

"Classy" used in a football context is a perfect word for the Green Bay Packers. NFL football isn't about a "classy" afternoon tea party with the Rockefellers...it's about FOOTBALL, hard nosed football and good loyal rooting fans...and to me that's classy!
Yeah, three scandal plagued players in the last 10+ years...Bengals have that many in a month.

"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

There are a number of NFL franchises I would call "classy" due to a variety of factors, one of which that has to be included is past history...and the history of the Packers with Lombardi and the rest shouldn't be forgotten, and in case Sagard has forgotten, the Super Bowl winner receives the "Lombardi Trophy"

<< <i>Of course I want the Giants to win, but I like Favre very much so if the Giants don't get to the big dance I would enjoy Brett possibly getting another ring. Maybe then he would retire and go out on top. >>
Please keep this great sportsmanship out of this thread until AFTER the game will ya? There is nothing worse then the I want "A" to happen but if it does not then "B" is good with me too angle. I was brought up to respect the winner in the end but CERTAINLY NOT the opponent before the storm. This just negates all reasons to be a rabid fan for crying out loud. I have NOTHING against Brett favre or the Packers and I have NOTHING against seeing Brett Favre and the Packers cut into little tiny pieces of frozen tundra on Sunday. Being a good sport happens AFTER the battle. Being a good sport BEFORE the battle sucks.

OK, OK. I guess I will have to go out and buy some "Mean" Joe Greene pills then.

<< <i>It is freaking COLD today, im assuming not much different in wisconsin, it will be an ugly game, my guess 16-6 GB. >>
And it's a night game to boot. You'd think the NFL would try to schedule games like this in the afternoon, but of course it's all about the money to the NFL and not about scheduling for the optimum time in order for the best game to be played.
Here's hoping for a good game that comes down to the wire.

One of the dumbest penalties I have ever seen.
<< <i>Pack penalties gave NY an easy TD, and Madison gave it right back...looks like the officials are calling penalties now. >>
You're right - some of the players were trying to take advantage of it and now the refs are tightening up.
Can't say enough about Eli's play. For a guy that has received more than his fair share of criticism, he has been playing at another level this postseason, and better than many more of the more prolific QBs.

I could very well see a tough Giants team face my Patriots in the Super Bowl...
Regardless of the outcome, this has been a phenominal game!
Ironically, it looks like Favre is the one suffering from the cold, not Eli.
