    Wow, only $900? That's less than a G06.

Way too cheap for a VG08 - I recently sold a VG10 to a Houston dealer for $1575. CDN was recently bumped up a lot on this type.
They had had something like $750 for a VG which was a joke. Now it's around $1200 which is more sensible. Nice VG's fetch in the $1300-$1500 range. Fines are pushing $2000 and then some.

I sent the buyer $900 and the package came without the coin but instead it had styrofoam inside of it with an empty padded envelope that had been ripped open. It was shipped in a priority mail flat rate envelope insured.

  • Respectfully, Nocerino 18, I would appreciate a clarification. Did you send the buyer, as in "middle man"- or as in a representative for you- the $900.00, or did you mean to say seller? The difference is enormous when making a USPS claim. Was the Flat Rate envelope damaged or tampered with? Did anyone sign for the delivery? This is very disturbing. If CappedBustDimes is the Seller, have all means of contact been exhausted? Did you check what level of insurance he purchased? Did you hopefully purchase Paypal protection? Have you checked with your credit card issuer to see if you are protected? A lot of times, the CC Co. will tell you that the purchase is not covered. Make a witten claim anyway, send it registered return receipt, and dispute the amount on the CC statement when it comes. Just trying to think of some avenues to pursue that can assist you in recovery. Regards and Respectfully, John Curlis

CappedBustDimes is the seller. He seems to have purchased the full insurance amount. I paid him directly via paypal.

    alex,

were the packages and bubble mailer damaged or tampered with. i read and printed off the ''ps form 1000'' from the usps site.

    usps PS Form 1000

if i understand it correctly, i need to wait 21 days before submitting a claim. and whomever files the claim needs the ''original wrapping and whatever contents'' that were received, evidenceof value, and the insurance/postal receipts/proof.

so, i will need you to send me whatever you received/as you received it if in order for me to file a claim. i will also visit the post office and see what they recommended and what the exact procedures are.

let me know if i missed anything or interpreted the form incorrectly,

    ben

I received the package today and the coin was not inside it. I have saved all of the packaging. Please initiate an insurance claim immediately. I am also starting a chargeback on my credit card unless you plan on sending me a refund within the next 24 hours.

    alex,

coin went out this morning via usps priority, insured for 900 amount paid. you should receive her within 2-3 but, fyi the last priority package i sent, to in PA, took 11 days [sent jan. 11 received jan. 22].

attached is a photo of insurance and postage receipt.

if you are not happy with her,as it is a sight unseen sale, i will gladly take it back and issue a full and prompt refund as long as it remains in the original holder.

    take care,
    ben
