Jan 26th Bay Area outting!?

I'm just about to order my first detector, a CZ-3D. Does anyone live around San Jose/Sunnyvale that wants to go detectin'? I have no idea what I'm doing!

    There are a few of us here that are in the SJ/Bay area. I have small children in the home (including a newborn) and don't get out often (unless you can meet for a lunch hunt in San Jose), but maybe one of the other guys will chime-in. If not, check out the forum where most of the CA guys hang out and you will find guys that go out almost every day- Kinzli Forum.

    How'd you get interested in the hobby?
    What sort of items do you want to target (new/old coins, jewelry, relics, ???)

    i live in san jose. just got a new job working for caltrain, so i get to drive all over. been keeping my eye open for new spots. my hours are 630am-3pm M-F, so i could possibly meet sometime. i know a good old demo site that could be good for training. send a pm for cell # exchange.

    don't know anything about fishers, but the basic principals are all you really need.
