ajaan was our winner!
Ajaan's 1893 Liberty nickel, found inside an old piano.
(Sorry, no picture- he gave it to the moving man.)
Bigtime36's 1944-S silver War nickel found in circulation, in a bank roll.
Looks pretty nice for a circ find- the ones I get in change periodically are usually very well worn and almost black!
Bigtime36's 1926 Buffalo nickel found in the same roll.
Lucky roll! That happened to me, once.
Dockwalliper's 1964 silver Roosevelt dime found in a CoinStar machine on December 31st.

I've known him since kindergarten and I'm not so sure there ever was a 1893 nickel or a piano.
Yep. That's the story.

It's the first time I can remember somebody winning a monthly award without a photo of the find, but it's probably happened before. In this case, the photo of the old piano was good enough! (John upgraded you to a proof for your sigline trophy, Don, since there was no picture of the actual find.)
